What a leader.

The Father of Modern Somalia.

The Heralder of Somali Freedom.

The Liberator of Somali lands.

The Civilizer of the Somali People.

His Excellency, Major General Jaale President Mohammed Siyaad Barre Abdille, God will reward you for all the good you have done for the singlularly most illiterate, backward people and culture on earth.

here we go again, self hating and disrespectful

you speak like the foreign colonists who claimed to civilize Somalis by attempting to change their culture and history, MSB(aun) despite having defficulties with Somalis always worked for the development of his land, culture, people, history etc  :som:

you comments are on called for and extremely contradictory to the Video it self, MSB(aun) clearly states that Somalis were a partner of Soviet but never depended on it. :som:

anyway

nice video, although Somalis have a way of not appreciating great leadership even when they see the results of the absence of basic leadership.

it is always neccessary for the educations of the few decent people, but overal i dont think it was appropriate to post the video here as a majority of Snet has no respect for the elders, prominent figures and the people who past away.

Siyaad Barre (AUN) beri hore ayuu dhintay, making topics about him is only going to end in disaster and it would be better off letting him rest in peace. Same goes for other dead muslims like cigaal and tuur.

Eaglehawk wrote:people want to hide history because they know if history is revealed, the honest somali people will blame them for causing destruction and mayhem.

there are people that want to maintain the status quo when it comes to history.
the thing they don`t know is that the buble is unnatural and it will burst once history is revealed

this the reason why history is discussed and why it won`t be hidden
"Somalia has been without an effective central government since President Siad Barre was overthrown in 1991"
people should stop tribelising the topic and discuss about how siyaad was a great geo political tactician and the amount of languages he speaks is a reflection of that, just look how he throws jambal between the west and soviet union, the man was a great thinker wallahi.
^^^ agreed

The topic was about a nationalist and some in here came running with separatists!
Separatists(traitors) will be known as traitors no matter how hard they try to paint them
differently. In every corner of the world separatists/traitors are hated with passion (kal iyo laab).
