Of course, we have heard this type of argument before circulated by those who refuse to accept the factual affairs on the ground! It will most certainly not be the last time we hear these silly words uttered. Let me therefore propose a simple idea that might persuade to re-consider your stance.

Somaliland exists, thought it might be rather difficult to comprehend it, if you don't want to take my words for it, see the factual state of affairs that exists on the ground there. We do not need an African Union representatives 'telling us' we have been recognised. Recognition comes from the self.

The facts are on the ground are entrenched and will not be adjusted to suit a government that is incompetent, inept and unable to perform the basic function of a government. According to recent research almost 60% of Somalilanders are under the age of 20 years old, how do you sell Somaliland citizens the ludicrous idea that they will lose their sovereign and right to self-determinations to a government based in Mogadishu. The other 40% or so witnessed, survived the horrors of war. It’s in the best interests of all Somalis to accept the eventual and inevitable fragmentation of the former Somalia. Instead of being stuck in a stale mate, we can have diplomatic ties and trade links.

You represent a more hawkish strand of Hawiye's intent on destruction. This is a minority, you would be hard pressed to find a hawiye who harbours hatred and resentment towards Somaliland.
