Majerteen tariikh; a lesson for Ilkayars

Post by paidmonk »

The time was circa 1860s and my dad's grandfather was setting sail from Eyl with a few men of the local clan. A few days later they reached Garacad to meet and pick up a few men of the Maxamed Cumar clan of the Cumar Maxamud. Weeks later they landed in Baraawe, they then set on foot and stayed in Biliq, a village outside of Jamaame. Over the months and years they earned the trust and respect of the locals, especially the Sheekhaal and Biimaal. Years later, members of the Cusman Maxamud landed nearby and declared themselves monarchs of the region. This did not set well with the former clans who had set an agenda against clan hegemony, so they set to meet with the latter clan and told them down, away from their claims, and all went well. Peace reigned in the region for another 100 years, until Cumar Jees, and of course the ilkayar invasions.

Learn from the original settlers and maybe the locals will welcome you to live with them instead of shooing you away with brooms. 8-)

And I post whatever I want in this section, the governor of Wardheer is Majerteen and I have more rights here than some of these cagdheers. :)

Because Darood are fucked up except reer Puntland, facts speak for themselves. Dulbahante are waving the ugly iidoor flag like women and Marexaan destroyed Jubboyinka for an entire decade like mooryaan, those could've been farms for Darood but they burned down the jungles and lost everything in a day. :|

If the smart Daroods like Dishiishe or Leelkase were the size of Marexaan or Ogaden, things would be different and better. :(
