Oh I complelety forgot about Canada Day. Ah memories. Going year after year watching fire works. Going to celebrations as a kid in the outdoor family parks roasting marshmallows . Then sadly one day finding out marshmallows contain lard. *sigh* Canada day was never the same.

Qorraxay,
There are tons of Somalis out there who will definitely celeberate this day
We are doing our own parties. So many friends who enjoy that day
Yes we know that Somalia is in a bad shape today...But as we all know, "Ilaahay Baryadiisa lagama daalo, Ilaahay naxariistiisana lagama quusto"
Somalia will florish again and this flag will be waved as Ke'naan was doing;

Primo lulio.
I don't know why anyone would not want to celebrate it just because of Somalia's current state.
It'll always have a symbolic meaning to every Somali that loves his country, regardless of the country's political demise.
God bless Somalia.

In honor of July 1, I will go to the Corniche here in Alexandria, Egypt and take one of the Somali flags that are flying along the ba7ar in a sign of independence

^ Stop fronting, you know you wouldn't be able to find your sin stick with a flashlight.
I plan on doing nothing. Whats there to celebrate for? That we were once human?
