Somalia 'The good ole days, from heaven to hell'

Post by *Nobleman* »

Brilliant article on the BBC documenting the good ole days of Somalia. Regardless of were ur from, everybody has some sort of fond memories of former Somalia.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10465527

Walahi hope is at an all time low, people feel very apathetic about the future of Somalia. May Allah return it to its former glory inshallah.

This one comment from a american who is from America just sums up what Somalia once was
I am not from somalia, but i remember when I WAS LITTLE IN MY COUNTRY COTE D'IVOIRe, the name mogadishu meant a place that i have to visit one day. i pray God that this country and all country in Africa will go back to their glorious and better years.

Laakin comments like this make me understand how Somalia go into its current state.
Us students were even given extra pocket money and so on Thursday nights, we used to go to nightclubs and party. The beauty was that we were five minutes walk from the best club in the city - Jazira. You didn't even need a car.

Those were good times: Boys, girls having a nice time and there was always music playing, be it Western or Somali.
With such widespread fitnah maybe all this destruction was a blessing in disguise?

why is it when ever some people talk about the ''good old days'' in somalia all they talk about is mogadishu as if though the whole country was just it, and all of the somali population lived in mogadishu. Mogadishu was only heaven for a very few people who were related to the dictators and for the rest of somalis the city was just as hell as it is today and saw the city as nightclub where the elite or their friends would dance and party. The beauty and highlight of it which was the ''good times'' they had with the city's Boys and girls. As the man recalls
those were good times: Boys, girls having a nice time and there was always music playing, be it Western or Somali.

He pissed on a picture of some guy from the Congo with a big mouth. Do you know him?

Ps, Do you think my dad was a tuug like yours who was stealing from the national treasury. Mine worked hard for his money. He was just seen as a problem by the late regime because he had a british passport and was isaaq.

How is he, is he employed in Gedo today. Al-Shabab and Ina Godane should make good use of these hardworking colonals. Suicide bombers maybe. They say a brain is a terrible thing to waste but I think in certain cases its actually good. To remove the waste, so to speak.

Not a clever move. But then again he never got his stripes because of hardwork to begin with. I bet you he still cant read or write.

Ps, what part of London does he live in?

The thing with Marexaan is they make the least noise out of all the Darods in the UK. Many Marexaans are friends with Isaaq because by the time you realize the fockers qabil, his become hebel hebel, from so and so, and its too late. The others MJ's, Dhullo's, they will scream from day one and gie you the chance to formulate and action plan.
