Muqdisho is divided between ppl who support alshabab and people who hate them. It would be a lie to say the whole of muqdisho hates them. A good example of this is how the hawiye elders split into pro alshabab and pro tfg camps.

To start off with the so called Hawiye elders are from Galgaduud, and they split into pro TFG and Pro Xisbul Islam to support their son

which ones support Shabaab?

Are we talking about Ahmed Diriye, Maxamed Xaad and co here, or a different group?

The self declared Hawiye elders are Ahmed Diriye and Maxamed Xaad and their cohorts of HG clansmen. I don't know how they got the title. They're not even the clan elders of Habar Gedir, who have their own Ugaaso, but yet they claim to be Hawiye elders.

That is what I was getting at but some would try to make you believe that all of Mogadishu is opposed to Al Shabab. Either the people of Mogadishu are really weak and can't remove the 'occupying' forces or there is a good number of them that actually support Al Shabab. I like to believe it is the latter case. For instance in Jubboyinka, the only reason Al Shabab has power there is because the people support them and the prove is that most of the fighters, if not all, are from the region.

Berke, there is a thread hutu started bemoaning the clans in southern SOmalia who support them and how they will be brought to justice. Can it be possible entire clans are accused of supporting them and they have no support at the same time?

Shirib, the group hutu mentioned. The point is still the same, regardless, unless you want to argue about minute details.

Honestly at this most people don't care if TFG, Shabaab, or the Jinni win, they just want fighting to stop.

ironic how alshabaab declared today ''war'' on amisom and tfg, as if they were at peace with them days before.
it shows how desperate shabaab really is, and that they cant win.
