What is your problem? R u purposely trying to counter disagree with a universal truth? I mean, i realize u r deathly somali tradition patriot, and i do realize in your own farah camel mind---u compare rose and her rich but 'older' bethrowed husband as the somali equivalent of a somali innocent girl in somalia being abused and bethrowed to a stinky useless old man in the name of 'daqaan' of tradition. r u angry Advo?
I only watched Titanic one time in the cinema and never watched it again. Dont get me wrong, it is a wonderful, amazing moving movie. Well, that is until i discovered i was deceived terribly by my first emotional ignorance. Amidst the shinking ship, the commotions, the film maker sold us a most terrible lie in the history of cinema. It was a lie of a chubby girl making a big deal about being loved by an extremely Not fat, good looking jock. That was the first flaw, and the second flaw? How the Fck can Leo die in the end? I mean, i also do understand the beauty of Leo dying. Perhaps that is also a master stroke to maintain the illusion of love to remain forever.(Jack will not live happily after with Rose because he is dead, and he wont wake up one day and discover she is chubby)
I think the reason the movie is resonating to public and why most women i know watched it more than 17 times is because of its modern idealism...its a modern story getting away from the old cinceralla story. In the Old Cinderalla story, Rose's husband plays as the handsome prince Charming, rich and handsome, well handsome enuf, who comes to save her impoverished mother and herself. Instead rose rejects the system, thereby the society, distiguishes herself from her pathetic ambitioned mother.A defiant teenager who will not be trapped, and ultimately sacrificing everything for love. Love concurs all.

But to sober unabashedly truthful audience like myself---i saw the 'Lie' that i was talking about in the earlier, i saw it as a ridiculous fantasy of a fat girl being in love with an incrediably handome boy, who is NOT in her league, and who somehow trapped us a in a sinking boat , bothered our emotions and let us forget the great elephant in the room. No,i dont mean be the chubby rose.

I mean all the comotions prevent us from seeing clear, that this is not realistic and simply a fantastic unlikely fantasy. Well, this explains why the killed Jack in the end. Kudos to the film-makers for becoming sober in the end. The fat girl didnt get the boy in the end. They couldnt bring themselve to pairing them and honoring them with -happily ever after. After all, who wants to reward a fat girl?
So in the end, it was a beautiful what if fantasy that was ended appropriately- a fantasy only.? Fat people need love too.
