Giorgio Marincola Radio Hut, January 1945

Half-Italian and Half-Somali campaigner against the Fascist rule of Italy. He was one of the leader of the underground resistance movement against Mussolini. When he was captured by the SS of Germany and brought on national radio to condemn his group and comrades, he refused and a huge blow against his head was heard on the radio. When his detention camp was finally liberated by the allies, he refused to go to Switzerland as a refugee and instead went to Italy where he rallied and staged campaigns against the retreating fascists. When he was finally murdered, he became the very last Italian to die at the hands of the Germans/Fascists.
As a result of his services, he won Italy's highest Military Award The Gold Medal Of Military Valor. A district in Rome was recently named in his honor and a club house was also named after him.
