Puntland is a great entity and a wonderful place. It only needs reform and to expel the Ethiopians and to break ties with the Xabashis.

Puntland has potential.

The problem for me is their lack of sincere political direction. They are seeking secession nor are they fully integrated into the solution for the creation of a Somalia stable government. They share in the benefits achieved in koonfur however do not share in the risk of loss incurred in creation of peace and stability. I understand this position suites them in the short term however the end result of this position is one where they will be hated more then the "secessionists".

It is easy to hate the player but they have mastered the art of exploiting any god damned situation regardless of what is damaged in the process.

- They have shown they Dictate all that happens within the TFG.
- They have stopped somaliland in their tracks for 20 years making it impossible for them achieving recognition.

As for Ethiopia they exploit it to their advantage in the region and they are not about to giveup such an ally anytime soon.

All in all a puntlander is a Mahamoud Salebaan if you are not then you are part of thier flock like it or not. A good Mahamoud Salebaan is one that is not interested in anything you have!
