When did you first discover about Majeerteen and who in your life played the biggest role in educating you about them?

I discovered I was Majerteen at the age of 5 and ever since then I have worked to improve the lives of my people. The person who made the greatest impact on my Majerteen heritage was my grandmother.

That's great, man.

What do you think is in store for Puntland in the long-run? Autonomy? Secession? Being an active member of greater Somalia?

Autonomy will remain, as a unit within Somalia. And Puntland has always played a part in Somalia's progress, that won't stop. Prime Minister Cumar Cabdirashid, a native of Puntland, is bringing the Somali government to Garowe, the next capital of Somalia.

Why don't you go back and visit? My nephew who was born in Cooperstown, NY and has never seen Somalia recently visited Bosaso and Garowe with an aid agency. He stayed there for 4 months. He's a junior college and was volunteering for them. Kid didn't even speak much Somali, he told me he loved the experience. Dad's reer biciidyahan, mom's Cawliyahan.

It'll give more meaning to your beliefs.

I don't have money to visit Somalia. If I had expendable money I'd visit no doubt. I'll visit in 2-3 years.

Thanks for your contribution to this topic.
