Re: Spurs vs Arse
It was a role reversal last night. Spurs played their youth team and Arsenal had NINE internationals on the pitch. They still struggled to break down the Spurs' kids. Wenger must be taking the Carling Cup seriously this year.Lord Diplock wrote:I can't believe we are winning with the kids, we hate you Spurds

Oh puh-lease? Youth team? Yeah...the likes of Palacios ( who you once described would be "Running through Arsenals midfield and breaking up their fancy play"), Dos santos, Bassong (Played 38 games last season), Assou-Ekotto, Bentley, Pavlyuchenko, Hutton, Huddlestone, Lennon, Keane and Kranjcar.....are a youth team soomaha?Paddington Bear wrote:It was a role reversal last night. Looool@Arsenal had 9 internationls....come off it...half the Spurs 1st team cant even manage to get their international squad...so that argument is pretty much null and void. Dont hate because Arsenal teenagers are now regular starters for their respective countries.
Iska ilaali PB - You're starting to sound like Arsenal might actually become some sort of threat this season? Never! You shouldnt be worried though, they wont get in the way of 'Pools fight for a Europa league place. We have bigger fish to fry.

I used to like Spurs when Co adriaanse was trhe manager and since he left they miss the `Dutch touch´. Hopefully Van der Vaart will bring it back

Re: Spurs vs Arse
Londoner, Arsenal is Arsenal. There is nothing for me to worry about there. They promise a lot yet deliver very little. Liverpool is a team in disarray right now but even with all our problems we gifted you a draw when we played you. I was simply commenting on the game that I watched.
P.S.
Keane, Lennon and Kranjcar all came on the second half. Huddlestone, and Hutton did not play.
Arsenal had a very strong team playing last night and one can argue that only ONE of those was an actual 'youth' player. The rest were all established players with lots of experince (yes, even eighteen year of Wilshere). At any rate, they only won it in extra time when Wenger panicked and brought on Arshavin, Chamakh and Cliche. The cupboard must be bare these days I suppose.

Still where is the that premier leage you guys are aiming for year in year out. Arsenal are only champions leage contenders since wenger has arrived. Liverpool on the other hand haven't won the premier leage since 1990 and no cup since 2006.Paddington Bear wrote: The cupboard must be bare these days I suppose.

What was the last cup Arsenal won? As for the Champion's league, it could only be called a fluke when you do it ONCE (like Arsenal qualifying for the final in 2006). When you win it FIVE times and get to the final in both 2005 and 2007, it is not fluke my friend. Come on now, lets not start comparing history.kadarre wrote:Still where is the that premier leage you guys are aiming for year in year out. . Still we are chasing that elusive Champions leage that liverpool have won by pure luck and offcourse italian football bookie scamming.
I accept mocking from United and Chelsea fans but never from Arsenal. We are on the same boat but our side has more history and trophies.
Re: Spurs vs Arse
I accept that Liverpool have more history but to say winning the CL wasn't a fluke??? AC Milan outplayed liverpool every minute. The ease they won the champions leage in 2007 shows Ac Milan knew they had gifted Liverpool the CL once beforePaddington Bear wrote:What was the last cup Arsenal won?
