Somaliland Association of Professionals-SLAP is designed to foster an atmosphere of teamwork, collaboration and network creation among Somaliland's professionals at home and abroad for the benefit of their community and budding democratic nation. Our aim is to pool together the talents and ideas of Somaliland's global Diaspora in ways that may benefit our growing democratic nation culturally, economically, politically and socially. Any membership is welcomed, regardless of his/her social, economic or political stride.

We want to lift Somaliland from its economic and developmental stagnation with ideas and projects that will harness the talents, gifts and endowment of the professional members and the larger Diaspora community. We want to act as conduit between our professional members, our people in Somaliland and our global Diaspora community, providing an important link between our people by promoting and fostering cultural, economic and technological cooperation and development.

The central goal is to begin by building simple ideas. Transform these ideas into implementable projects by utilizing the efforts of our global Diaspora, people in Somaliland, and our professional members' knowledge and experiences. We are prepared for any idea, bold enough to revolutionize every sector of our society.

We wish to rely on your talent and support to help our nation grow to a responsible and self-reliance democratic nation. Somaliland of today can be transformed to Somaliland of tomorrow which continues to nurture its hard earn peace, stability and common good.
