Gurey it seems to me most of these so call high ranking military officers in Somalia at the time had police background. The only ones with an actual military training and attended well known military institution were all Isaaqs notably col. Xassan Keyd.
not really police, they were para-millitary trained for both.
the carabeneri are like the french gendarme not a purely millitary force.
The italians have higher millitary institutions but not many somalis went to them in the 50's.

The only offciers with advance millitary training in a purely millitary academy were northerners mainly isaaq, when they were sent to sandhurst.

Only when the soviets provided scholarhips for thier academies in 1961 did others get up to standard.

touched a nerve there didnt i,

you may worship him if you like, but this is the man that destroyed somalia.
i would have forgiven him if he handled the ogaden war well, but we all know what happened.

 carabineri school..

nobody takes italians seriously when it comes to millitary affairs,
at least adideed went to frunze in moscow after his stint in italy.
Not at all. I have always said with all my education and due to come, my understanding of the world, my own personal assumption to be more qualified as a leader in Somalia than most Somali leaders, etc if I had been old enough during Siad's reign, my greatest desire would have been to be the head of his bodyguards. I wasn't alive or old enough then which disappoints me, but I can take some solace in that my abti Abdirizaak who recently died in Saudi Arabia last year and who by the way was married to an Isaaq woman avenged my hunger

My mom's brother Abdirizaak, on 0:09 on the left of Aabe Siyaad (or right to him) or at 6:44 right behind Aabe Siyaad with red cap, and the head of his personal security 8-)

Aabe Siyaad enlightened Somalia, he took the reer baadiyes and brought them to the world and put our name on the map. He gave us a script, schools, education, enlightenment. The most reer magaal man in Somaliland today would have been the most reer baadiye man during Siad's Somalia. So no you didn't touch a nerve, but I am here and have always been here to give his Excellency, The president of the Somali Republic ahaane Gudoomiyaha Xisbiga Hantiwadaaga Soomaaliyeed, Major General Jaale Maxamed Siyaad Barre Cabdille, his due justice from the bitter children of the opposition and jealous vagrants of yesteryear.

vltage bro, ambition is good, but you should be carefull of arrogance.
your reer badiyo cousin could outsmart you in the future, one should be prepared for anything.

i still think Marehan are modest

i wonder what Emperior and Siciid would be like if Jale Siad was IIdor. U only have to look at how Siciid glorifies every mediocre leader from his subclan. what would he do if Jale Siad was from his subclan

the focker would become celibate and a Siadist monk for the rest of his life

Guray, ina adeer, supporting the most enlightenment the camel shagging Somali race has ever received is not arrogance at all but rather celebratory.
