Is the goverment out to get somalis or are somali this troublesome.Canada shootings and now pimps, eebe ha u gargaaro somalida they need some community measure's to deal with this.It all begins at home, parents and the community need to provide to there childs needs and emotions of dealing with there environment and surroundings in there transitional years and this should not be done by suppressing them at home with locks or other radical measures somali parents tend to take which only lead to the path they tried to close on them forcefully.You need to educate chidren about life in general from early on through proffessional and honest diologue, Be there example or atleast direct them.

What somali parents?.....most somali kids have only one parents and that is the mother.The father is hardly around and even if he is in the pic he is cluless about what his children are up to.I saw this 11yrs old boy today hiding himself with he his little brother behind the bushes and smoking.Bal ka waran waa 11jir...i was so pissed off that i wanted to call his mom but i changed my mind cus it's none of my business.

That's a wide sweping statement Helwa.Do you have data to back that up,because in my personal experiance one parent families in the Somali communnity that I have come across have always been the exception rather than the rule

It is true many men are missing from the household. This money we send backhome while neglecting our kids is part of the problem also. Imagine if we spend that money to take our kids to beaches, disney land, Somalia, and bought nice things they need while at the same time following up how they are doing in school and helping them the backhome. Little things help the child and teaches him good manners. We should also understand that we can't raise our kids in the ghettos. Living in ghettos means raising ghettos products. Community awareness is needed. Reer Hebel baa sidaa yeelay is a waste of time.
