Anyone watching Dr. Amen on PBS?
I love this guy's lengthy presentations. Instead of your usual psychiatrist with a few sound bytes - you get a casual guy who breaks it down in a more in-depth way that anyone can understand. Tonight's episode is entitled: Change your brain, Change your body. I'm always amazed by the direct correlation between the brain and every aspect of the human body. Be it physiological or psychological. Thus my peaked interest.

GL
No, I was not aware that he was Lebanese. I do have 2 of his books on my amazon-kindle. The dude revolutionized the use of SPECT as part of the diagnoses of psychiatric patients. Everything he says is backed-up by MRI scan results. So, no hogwash. For his book entitled "The brain in love", his clinic had used the SPECT scans of around 50,000 patients. The brain is an enigma and highly under-appreciated.
Which one did you read?

Lol. You're missing out, man. Check him out one of these days - you won't be disappointed.
He's the dude who said women have 10x more libido than men.

I use to watch him, but after a couple hours and re-runs of him I got bored. Weird thing is there is another doctor that talks about the same exact things. They all say eat less and walk more, I don't to watch 10hrs of him talking to get that through my head

Half why? Why? The girl was amazing. Ruth Wilson is a star. Half the problem with u is--u dont like anything cadaan. thats your problem. The only reason u started watchin the show is because of the blackiest idris elba. (But in the processes u let me know about the show, so i have to thank u lol)
Anyway, yes--i have watch all six episodes. They were amazing. Nice twist.

Lol. Naah. He says more than that. I enjoy his segments on the brain functions and what habits like drugs, cigarettes, alcohol and even leading sedentary lifestyles does to the brain through SPECT images. He can get carried away at times, no doubt. But, there's so much to learn through his research. I'm glad he does it for free with PBS because his conferences are ridiculously expensive a so are his books and DVDs. Do you watch Nova?

I couldn't bare to look at her face for another 4 episodes - she may be talented, but I couldn't shake off an image of a farm animal (pig) whenever I saw her pinkish-pale skin and snork looking nose, not to mention those gigantic lips. I was also put off by her demeanor and that smirk. Idris Elba did remarkably well, no doubt. Did he reconcile with his wife towards the ending or were they still estranged?

Walaahi we are creatures of opposite world. Both of us have this disorder---which is unique. I am anti black, and u are anti white. Yes, you would convince yourself that u dont like her personally--but in reality u couldnt stand her because of her pale skin and typical cadaan features. Look at the way u describe her, animal farm-pig.
And you like Idris wife in the show, because she is not white. She is half cast.
His wife ends up being killed in the sixth episode by a cop. It was not the best, it wasnt planned out that well. I feel the more the episodes progressed, the dumber the plots become. They are vying away from being pyschological and being smart.I wish they would have made Ruth Wilson more dangerous and more smarter, but they are weak in that department. There was an episode where Luther breaks into her apartment as she was sleeping, and she wakes up, sneaks into the kitchen, and doesnt grab a big knife or a hidden pistol silencer--what does she pick?A cutecks knife. A tiny knife used to brush nails. How lame.
Anyway, i wish Idris could hire me, i would write a better psychological thriller for them. And for the record, i love Ruth Wilson face--her eyes are lovely and playful, her lips are luscious, and her face and countenance in general--is yummyscious.

Yes, I'm well aware of your fixation with the white race and your orgasms whenever you come across anything that has to do with 18th century England or anything that might remotely resemble it. Its funny, but I had a feeling they were going to mess up the plot of the series as it progressed - they do that with everything, thus why I don't watch any network series. The writers get bored and make up shit as they go along. Luther had potential, too bad they had to ruin it. So, how did Luther deal with his wife's loss and how did it end?
