Whatever you label China's activities in Africa I personally don't think it is all that bad. China is developing African nations in return for getting what they need. That is not as bad as what the nations of the people doing the critiquing are doing in Africa. I was recently reading an article about an American businessman in South Sudan who already owns more land in the country than anyone and the guy is not building a single road, a single hospital or even a single school there in return. He just paid of a former warlord turned politician to get the lease for that land.

The oddest thing that I have heard about Africa is the water market.
Many countries including Saudi Arabia are buying acres and acres of land to get drinking water for their population. The sad thing is this water is being taken from local farmers and citizens. Water is the blue gold of the earth and it is predicted that in some decades it will be the number one cause of conflict.

Water and arable land. So far Sudan, Mozambique, Kenya, and Ethiopia are the biggest victims. Everyone is buying/leasing these lands from the Saudis to the Koreans and Japanese.BlackVelvet wrote:The oddest thing that I have heard about Africa is the water market.

Africans for supporting these leaders and their "leaders" are to be blamed first and foremost ,right now they are selling anything they can sell from land , water, fertile soil , minerals oil for few $$ that will go to their un-used Swiss accounts while millions of Africans die each year of poverty hunger and diseases , in old days they used to sell people(fellow Africans ) for couple of iron bars and we blamed Europeans for taking advantage of the slavery we had
we can't just Calaacal about people taking advantage of us ,we have to change and stand up first and fix our **** , the solution to all of these problems is in the hands of Africans
maybe if we stop cutting each other's throats and the the hatred
