Somalia: Truck Accident Kills Five in Southern Region

Jowhar — At least 5 people were killed and several others wounded after car accident happened between middle Shabelle raion and Hiran in central Somalia, witnesses said on Sunday.

Sources said that event happened at Alu Baley village in the border between both Hiran and Middle Shabelle region adding that 4 of the passengers were killed and 6 others wounded in the areas.

Residents said that accident came as the driver lost te control of the truck due to high speeed it was travelling as the car left from the Mogadishu pointing out that one of the tryes removed beofre the accident occured overnight.

Most of the wounded passengers were rushed to hospital in Mogadishu.

Most of truck accidents happen due to rough streets and inexperienced drivers who often drive with very high speed.
