What's wrong with that? Maybe you should call Shabaab to Hargeisa so Mogadishu can be rid of them?

Maybe it's not so viable as they are responsible for so many civilian deaths. This government is supporting the killing of the very same people it's supposed to protect. What is hypocrisy is you living comfortable supporting the idea of more foreign troops to come and 'sort your mess out'.

Now look here voltage, you can't for a second say you supported the AU presence in mog before you know who was elected.

However wouldn't it be more fitting if the TFG either: recruited somali soldiers from somalia and have them foreign trained or have them trained within somalia

I think I did. Last February

Yes we will because Africa won't beg us to end the war. Imagine if Africa was as powerful as Europe now and Uganda and Burundi as militarily and economically powerful as France and U.K. As poor little things, they are protecting the seat of Somalia's presidency now. As powerful as those countries they would invade from every km of Somalia's coastline and forcefully disarm us and make us sit like babies with hands tied behind our backs.

Strong Africa is strong Somalia, wallahul cadiim.

Don't worry about Somalia, you are from Somaliland. Leave the internal affairs of Somalia to Somali citizens and about the choices they make to reinstate their functioning state.

What Somali citizens, even their prime minister is a somali refugee having claimed asylum in America thus being 'American'. :|

These are the people who make some sense:

Guddoomiyaha gobolka Banaadir ahna duqa magaalada Muqdisho Maxamuud Axmed Nuur Tarzan ayaa sheegay in dowladda KMG Soomaaliya ay la socoto in ciidamada AMISOM xasuuq u geystaan shacabka ku dhaqan magaalada Muqdisho

balse sida uu yiri dowladdu aysan arrintaasi marna wax ka qaban karin. “Dowladda iyada ayaa la ilaaliyaa, mana awooddo in ciidamadii ilaalinayay ay amar ku soo rogto” ayuu yiri Maxamuud Axmed Nuur Tarzan oo sheegay in ciidamada AMISOM la’aantood aysan dowladda KMG Muqdisho ku sii shaqeyn karin.

“Dowladdu marna kama maarmi karto joogitaanka ciidamada AMISOM ee Muqdisho, waayo Amisom la’aanteeda dekedda iyo garoonka diyaaradaha Muqdisho ma shaqeyn lahayn” ayuu yiri Tarzan oo intaa ku daray in askarta AMISOM ay sidoo kale ilaalo u yihiin madaxda dowladda KMG Soomaaliya, shaqo muhim ahna ay u hayaan dowladda.

“Aniga kuma raacsani AMISOM xasuuqa ay shacabka u geysanayaan” ayuu yiri Tarsan oo tibaaxay in aan indhaha laga qarsan Karin duqeynta ay goobaha rayidka ah ka geysanayaan ciidamada AMISOM, haddana AMISOM la’aantooda dowladda ma sii jiri lahayn ayuu yiri Tarsan.

“Waan ognahay AMISOM shacabkeena ayay dilayaan, haddana anaga ka dowlad ahaan qasab ayay nagu tahay in ay Muqdisho sii joogaan, welibana waxaan ku talin lahaa in ciidamo dheeraad ah la keeno si ay dowladda gacan u siiyaan, dalka oo dhanna gacanta dowladda ugu soo celiyaan” ayuu yiri Tarsan.

A case of ' save my arse and waste yours'.

Fair enough, but I would say that the AU are more of a hindrance than a help: they fire missiles from their base and it usually ends up with more civilian casualties than the enemy.

Again why are you so concerned even feigning emotional connection to the internal affairs of a foreign nation to you? The prime minister like all of us sought safety. We are all guilty of that but the doesn't mean we don't have a responsibility to contribute to the stability and reinstate of our ancestral state. Save your hypocrisy because your biggest problem is a reemergence of a strong Somali state and not any sympathy for civilians.

Over the last 4 years an estimated 8000 troops have been trained for the TFG the bulk of them joined shabab after the TFG failed to pay them.

No more troops can be trained for the TFG since they have abused their power and misdirected the funds allocated by the international community for the troops. After all they had 500Mps to sustain.

Unfortunately Amisom will get their desired troop level of triple their current number.

End result 3 x current annual amisom civilian kills = 6,300 that is 18 people(men, women, children) per day.

TFG will win this fight even if there is zero civilians left in moqadishu.

What a Victory

Truth be told, 50,000 troops can easily be raised from the diaspora who would not even need a single cent of pay and they would happily die for their mother land... I guarentee you they would never switch sides.

AMisom is causing more civilians to join shabab making it harder to uproot the fockers...

If al-shabab dont drop the weapons then AMISOM are going to stay simple as that, al-shabab wont compromise which tell us that they deserve AMISOM to haunt them.

He sought asylum in 1988? Give me a break man, this kid is an oppertunist and didn't have any loyalty for his State then, let alone now. Quite frankly, he is not contributing to his ancestral state by any positive means. 'Bring in the troops' has not been a viable solution for Yeys government, nor is it a viable solution for the current 'government'. The Somali conflict needs an bottom up approach and not a top down approach. The solution to the problems is a somali solution. And no, the emergence of a 'strong somali state' is none of my worries. It is something I will automatically capitalize of.

Let me see you support the notion of foreign troops stationed in Kismaayo and Gedo.

Don't worry, they are see through. The strategy in Somaliland and among Somalilands is complete failure of Somalia leads to international recognition for Hargeisa. All this posturing is based on that premise.
