I voted for Ethiopians because they are more related to us.

Remember Ethiopia is almost half Oromo.

I thought he was better than Melez in how he treats our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters.

Nah Afaworki is worse than Meles.

Its only during the time of Meles that Muslims in Addis were allowed even to exercise their religion and celebrate it in color.

Afaworki was a ruthless dictator its only after the two wars that he slightly changed his policy cos of the christians in Eritrea siding with Meles and calling it a useless war.

During the king and Derg eras, Muslims weren't allowed to exercise their religion or celebrate it?

Patriot,

In fact it was Mangistu who brought religious equality in Ethiopia.
He first introduced Muslim Holidays in Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian Left has always been anti all religion; but they some how considered Islam as an oppressed religion under the Haile Sellase.
Their primary target was the Orthodox church;

Mallas kept the Religious equality brought by Mangistu, but heavily subsidize Orthodox Christian.
