The Djibouti Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Dayib Dubbad Roble, who made a speech at the opening ceremony, said the opening of the Djibout Embassy to Somalia was due to a decision from the Djibouti president, Mr. Ismail Omar Gelle, of which he was aimed as the two brother nations of Djibouti and Somalia to share the long standing problems of Somalia together, as to live in a lasting peace and prosperity.

The Ambassador also declined that the Capital city, Mogadishu is a safer place and possible for every country in the world to open its embassy in Somalia, as to support and share with the Somali people the sadness and the unforgettable effects caused by the long term wars which caused Somalia to be one of the lowest and poorest nations of the world.
