It is high time that people of Mogadishu get take responsibilty, every other city and region of Somalia is stable. They are bloody holding Somalia and Somalis back.

Not really. Mogadishu has not been peaceful long before Amison. That was the reason Amison got invlved. I do not believe that amison is the problem, as they are african soldiers who do not want to be shot at.

before Amisom it was ethiopians and before that it was peaceful. Before that it was western back warlords etc.

If AMISOM is not the problem why is the rest of the country peaceful, and the only place with war is the place they occupy.

Mgadishu was peaceful for only 6 months in 2006. I am not against Mogadishu people but it feels there is something about them that lets the city to be inflames all the time.

As was the rest of southern Somalia. Only when the ICU came was southern Somalia pacified from warlords and insecurities. Its not anything that is Xamar based only. U only hear about Xamar cause its 4 or 5 times the size of the next biggest city.

The key difference for the instability in Xamar now and not everywhere else in the country is there is 8,000 AMISOM troops which fuel a fight and make it impossible for one entity to win

Outside powers have imposed wars on Southern and Central Somalia and we need to understand and keep that is mind. It is called "crisis management" and the war is funded, managed, and guided. I mean how do you explain when the peace and stability was restored in Southern Somalia in 2006, a major invasion was unleashed? Read wikileaks and you would understand what is happening there.

People should also keep in mind that Mogadishu is our capital and inderstand the Somali proverb that says "Maska madaxaa laga dilaa", well that is what you are dealing with. Our capital/country is destroyed, peace has been denied, and our people have been made destitute. The worst we can do is to blame our defenseless civilian population in Southern and Central Somalia.

Meanwhile the people of Mogadishu will continue to suffer. Or how did Cabdulaahi Yuusuf put it "When elephants fight it is the grass who suffers" .
After all the suffering and misery a peaceful conclusion would be a newsworthy conclusion, not more violence.
