Syria arrests, tortures, deports Somali immigrants

Post by Coeus »

DAMASCUS- Syrian security forces on the border with Turkey arrested, tortured and threatened deportation to at least 11 Somali immigrants who escaped from the violence in their country, police sources said.

The war weary fleeing Somalis have considered Syria as safe sanctuary and human rights’ minder, but instead they are jailed, beaten and deported back to the ‘hell’ in Somalia.

Four of the immigrants who are women have escaped from Somalia after Somalia’s extremist group of Alshabaab have tried to get them forcibly married to foreign terrorists in their ranks.

" The 11 Somalis are in our jails and they were arrested on their to Turkey from Syria two weeks ago" A Syrian police official who asked not to be named says.

" Our commanders have ordered to punish them for the reason of entering Syria and deport them after a week" he added.

According to the police, the immigrants will be deported back to the world’s most dangerous country, Somalia where they have left for security reasons and poverty.

Last week, human rights watch has angrily ordered Saudi Arabia to stop deporting Somalis fleeing their violence ridden country after Saudi authorities returned at least 150 Somali nationals, many of them children, from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, on December 17, 2010, press reports said. Saudi Arabia had deported an estimated 2,000 Somalis to Mogadishu in June and July, according to the United Nations refugee agency.

No comments could be reached from the human rights’ groups on the matter.

Somalis in their country are subject to abuses by Somalia’s extremist group Alshabaab. Since last year, Alshabaab have executed more than 40 people after an ad-hoc courts’ verdicts without evidence of the alleged crimes.

Al-Shabab, which vows allegiance to al-Qaida and whose members include foreign fighters, controls large parts of southern Somalia and much of the capital, Mogadishu.

Somalia has not had an effective central government for 19 years. The U.N.-backed government controls only a few blocks of Mogadishu, while its allies control much of central Somalia.

Bogus news. Syria is one of the few Arab countries who welcomed the Somali refugees during the height of civil war. We, Somalis, break the law and in Syria it is a state that is constantly ready to go to war with Israel and always on alert. Some Somalis were crossing the Syrian border to Israel and the Israelis were using them as propoganda. I remember this happening in the 1990s. We have basically became security threat since some refugees crossed the border between Israel and Syria and so many Somalis with western passports send their families back to Syria. Syrians were fine with Somali hooyooyin with children as they view themselves obliged to help but when men with western passports arrived, they have been seriously watched. Dhaqamo xunxun bay Soomaalidu ka sameeyeen Syria and that has added to the displeasure of Syrians with the Somalis. The last country in the world that we be blaming is Syria. Useless Martooleys always onm a blame game.

Sunatimes is a Sufi website, they want to create discord between Arabs who are mostly Sunnis and the SOmalis, so that we will embrace Sufism.

Coueus is alone in his appartment in Sancaa thats why he copies these topics, lets take a look at Sunatimes news:

Somalia:Alqaeda’s Alshabab leader seen in United Arab Emirates

http://www.sunatimes.com/view.php?id=629

Somalia: Al-Qaeda fires Al-Shabaab leader

http://www.sunatimes.com/view.php?id=629

Just look at some of their articles:
Somali community in Netherlands told Sunatimes that at least Mohamed Kahiye used to send more than $200,000 in disguise family bills by the community as the money directly falling into the hands of Alshabaab in Somalia.

Garmashaqo hails from Saleban sub-clan in Hawiye clan. Netherlands intellegience is believed to have taken from the shops computers with the documents of the sent money and cash money.

Sources privy with Somnali community told Sunatimes that Mohamed Kahiye Garmashaqo used incognito name of Mohamed Abdullahi Roble for asylum seeking in Netherlands.

Netherland is one the world's most strict followups intellegience and it's believed that they have agents almost in every building in the country.
