Second mistake you made: Yes US made a dual approach to Somaliland, BUT they also stated that they dont have any intention to recognise Somaliland and that this dual approach does not mean recognition.

Third mistake is that Ethiopia will never recognise Somaliland, that would be a death sentence. Why? Because then Ogaden would then have to also secede and Ethiopia would be reduced by 50%. They wont cause this, because they dont want to have a seccesion themselves. The status quo in Somaliland is perfect for them.

And last but not least, every goverment in the WORLD is behind TFG and to end the terrorism that plagues SOMALIA.

When al shabab is gone, all Somalia have to do is just support SSC military and financially. Then like a peace of cake Somalilands dream ends.
