They have been convinced, through indoctrination the following points

1.) The call for the unity of tribe x as a result of perceived danger from tribe y
2.) Claiming of lands often inhabited by multiple tribes
3.) Every three or so months, a grand meeting usually at the local community center takes place to "vote" for a new head
4.) Often subclans of the tribe would fight over, and it ends before the new maamul had a chance to operate

The process starts all over, anew after tribe y reportedly declares their own maamul and alarms are sounded over the need for the unity of tribe x.

Sheikhaal.. you mean Reerow Xassan?

No, Reerow Xassan lives in Feerfeer, Buurukur and Hiiraan, its Sheikhaal (Awqudub) that live in South Somalia specially Kismayo also Sheekhaal Looboge(although they mostly in Mudug and Xamar).
I think they mean "Rass" from Raaso town in Ethiopia populated mostly by Sheekhaal.
