Coeus, why don't you tell us what you think about Silaanyos response.

You always make a thread, posing questions or asking for peoples opinions; yet you never answer the question yourself or state your opinion. Why not?

Somaliland is gone man, lets just forget about them, before we had to support the resource poor state, but now our farming communities in Hiiraan, Gedo, Shebeelaha Hoose, Benadir and Jubba will be self sufficient and will not be strained by supporting those in the drier north.

Saaxib, Siilanyo is a good leader, and i believe he himself is somewhat nationalist and the thought of leading all of Somalia sometimes makes him think when he eats his breakfeast  . BUT sooner or later, somaliland will drop this seccecion thing.

The rest of the world knows that.

Siilaanyo is the most pro seccesion leader Somaliland ever had i think. , when he lost the first elections in 2003. Abdirisaaq xaji xuseyn and other High officals at that time asked him to Join the TFG and lead the TFG in eldoret in kenya but he refused, that shows you he has great principles people used to say that also back in the early days in the 90s they will drop the seccecion, what they don't know is this is driven by the people it can not be stopped. not even by the international clan. the international clan suggested even that hargeysa should be the capital this was suggested by America and other EU states in 2009 but was thrown off the table by Former president daahir rayale kahin

Saxiib i need to ask a question, my abti told me that Siilanyo actually won in 2003, but elders and others told him to step down. He showed great maturity and accepted it, and he even got back some of his campaign money.

Is there any truth to this?

Sarman Siilanyo does not even want to run for president of Somalia  he would've done that in 2004 if he wanted he had the chance.
