For Geographic reasons.

Lelkasse, MJ, Awtarable, and other Darood in Puntland seem relatively united.

Ogadeen have their own siyaasad with ONLF and Southern Somalia

Marexaan have their own agenda in Southern Somalia

Dhulbhante has their own with SSC

There was a lot more cooperation within Darood when they all lived in the same vicinity.

darood are too widespread to operate as one tribe, having northern/central darood unity and southern darood unity makes much more sense. anyway, when was the last time that "darood" were united? during the civil war?! well i guess it will take another major clan war to unite darood again, but who knows how long that unity will last.

^ do you mean this is why you don't believe in daroodnimo? because all you are proving is that darood are their own biggest enemy. since most marehans live in the south, the daroods you get along with should be other daroods who live in the south ( namely the ogaden). being friendly with clans that you do not share any territory with is completely useless. :?

that is kind of retarded notion, Mareexaan are just as significant in central Somalia as they are in Southern Somalia. Also both Leelkase and Dhullos have open and strong political and tribal relations with us. it does not matter if we dont share borders anymore which by the way is something new as a few decades ago we were neighbours, and still to this day we are from same region Mudug/Hawd.
to say the relations we have with them are meaningless is a bitter outlook some MJs have, look at what happened to puntland when the PL president turned anti-farmaajo, Awrtable, Leelkase and Dhullos gave their full support to the Prime minister despite their close territorial link with Majeerteen and even their tribal(harti) and political(Puntland) link Faroole.

come again

oh here we go again. you always have to find a way to inject farmaajo into every discussion don't you? :? most marehans in somalia live in gedo and parts of galgaduud, nowhere near any of the clans you listed. the truth of the matter is those alliances are useless...whether you want to admit it to yourself or not is a completely different issue. btw, thank you for showing everyone exactly why darood unity would never work.
