Gunners..Gun..Gone..GONE!

Post by Paddington Bear »

With United losing last night, Arsenal have a chance of reducing the difference to a single point. If we beat United on Sunday (which we will) the title race will really be on. But will Arsenal manage it? Here are their remaining fixtures:

Arsenal v Sunderland - Just after losing the cup so they'll give it a real go but still have an eye on Barca (possible draw).
West Brom v Arsenal - Scary West Brom beat them already (I think). Arsenal to win.
Arsenal v Blackburn - Home win.
Blackpool v Arsenal - Away loss.
Arsenal v Liverpool - Andy Carroll to win it for LFC.
Tottenham v Arsenal - Arsenal to win and raise the hopes of their poor fans again.
Bolton v Arsenal - Away loss after the euphoria of beating Spurs.
Arsenal v Man Utd - Arsenal win again.
Stoke v Arsenal - Arsenal get bullied into a draw (or loss).
Arsenal v Aston Villa - They win again and keep their hope of securing fourth place.
Fulham v Arsenal - Loss away from home results in the sacking of Arsene.

    Haye, so we beat Utd and Spurs' and we still lose the title.....lol.....waan gartey.

Great topic man. Lets bring this thread back up after each game and see how well your predictions fan out. Cant see us winning every one of those games if im being perfectly honest, though I still believe the league is Utds to lose. They mess up, Gunners have to pounce. And if we lose to Barca, looking at those fixtures, I dare say it wont be a bad thing to be able to concentrate solely on the title race.

Love that we are having so many topics dedicated to Arsenal these days btw. Not suprising seeing as we are the only club worth talking about.

looserpool? You sound like someone who started following football after the 2-1 against Barca (it couldn't have been earlier, Arsenal have not won anything in five years).

The looserpool have FIVE European cups, how many does old Wenger has? How about eighteen titles and countless other sundry trophies? Know your place waryaa, I can talk about Arsenal but you can't talk about LFC.

Londoner, you're right. Arsenal is the most interesting team in the league this season. Whilst everyone else has been having a bad season, Arsenal has been consistent in their inconsistency. So what will it be next? Lose to Orient, beat Sunderland then lose to Barca or beat Barca and lose to the other two?

If I give you the fixture list of Chelsea, United or Spurs I guarantee that most people would guess the results of the majority of their games correctly. With Arsenal though, never mind most people even the most ardent library dweller can't guess it.

Bless Arsenal, the biggest farce in a season of overall mediocrity.

quark, past glories count, mate. Up to last season, we were the best team in Europe (according to UEFA by the way, not just me). Oh, we won the CL in 2005 and FA cup in 2006. What was the last trophy Arsenal won again?

We are going through a transitional period but normal service shall be resumed next season. When will normal service be resumed for Arsenal?

Why do looserpool always talk about history  ? Is it because they have no present :?:

Ok the last time looserpool won a league title is 20 years ago and that is enough time for another generation to grow up in. So what have Liverpool done in this current history and in this current past history nothing, oh yes and before you add yes 1 champions league with a Milan team celebrating and drinking champagne at half time and a FA Cup against a small team, yh really well down.

What about league form in the all time premier league table, Looserpool is only the 4th best team in the whole of England! Nothing to be proud of

Londoner, londoner, londonerrrrrr ina adeer help me out here. I seem to have been attacked by a group of new Arsenal fans that don't understand the social order of English football.

Boys, boys, there are rules to footballing banter. Rule one says that, under no circumstances should an Arsenal fan try to lord it over an LFC fan regarding any footballing aspects. Rule two says that history matters, which is why a Chelsea fans can not dare to speak in the presence of an LFC fan or an Arsenal fan. Rule three says that Spurs will do their usual balloon act of floating up in the air only to drop back down. Therefore not allowed to make fun of any of the big teams. There is a hierarchy here and rules that have been followed for decades. New fans should never disturb the accepted order.

So, now that I explained it to you, let me share some of my wisdom with you (wisdom gained from supporting a proper team). Arsenal fans should never expect anything and should instead appreciate the occasional surprises of beating teams like Barca or United every now and then. Any more than that is just greedy.
