Worldwide Somali Students

Post by 1_londoner »

Mashallah, check out these students who want to change their country for the better! Uniting all Somali students from all fields and universities from around world in the hope that one day [Operation Restore Hope 2012] they'll be able to go back home and *Give something back*. Some of you people could learn a lot from these folks, constantly on here bickering about qabil and politics when most of you lot havnt even been back home to your country let alone even attempting to change anything about the current situation there. Yeah, we all know its not that easy but at least these folks are trying. Even the half German chick feels connected to her roots unlike some Yanks I could mention.

American huh? My friend if you watch the video you will know what country we are on about here. True, right now its in a bit of a mess (bit of an understatement actually), but its still a country.

It`s not a bad idea, but most of these kids are not gonna be able to fit in with the situation in Somalia right now. I reckon everyone should invest in their own hometown and villages, take part in developing the education there, help children who don`t have access to education. A project like this is very difficult to pull of in Somalia right now, we can`t even agree on forming a government iska dhaaf anything else.

You can register to go with them, plus they ones in London already offer free tuition for Somali children so that they can get into good colleges and universities, so they are not all talk.

they are not the first nor will they be the last group of somali youth who "unite" to try to bring change to somalia. like typical somalis they will lose steam after a few months and you will never hear of them again.

They wont be staying in somalia in 2012 most of them anyway, but they are going there to show the people that we have not forgoten them. They collect book and stuff and send them home plus they raise money to pay for poor students to go to university. Ma han unachievable waxee raban.

In that case its a very noble cause  I`d love to contribute with whatever I can. I thought they were gonna relocate to somalia and shidh.
