lie about their clan membership and get away with it?

For example: A somali guy get's deported back to Somalia and ends up in Mogadishu. Turns about he is from Lacaano and must lie about his clan in order to move from one place to another to keep himself safe.

So, would the people know or notice?

People from Somaliland (*cough, cough*, Isaaqs) lie all the time that they are from the South so they can get American/European citizenships.

I have a friend who's place of birth says Mogadishu but the fucker was born in Hargeisa.

i might have an idea of where a particular person comes, like the people from Hargeisa or Mogadishu because of their distinctive accent, but i couldn't say definitively .

If it wasn't for Isaaqs no south somalis would be in Britain. So why lie to get into Europe? When somaliland and Britain have historic connections? and have been going to Britain since the 1880's??
