That is true bro. There are plenty of ways to make money in it too. You could go entrepreneur way if you like and become a predatory capitalist like Carlos Slim. Frankly Somalia needs a guy like him. Good luck advo and let's know what you decide mate.

I think I am one of the lucky 5%. I trade on forex markets now and then and I've been doing fine since I opened my acc a little over a year. My first intention was to challenge the system and see if I can outsmart market movers and shakers. Now I realized that both rewards and risks are extremely high. One afternoon, I was waiting for some1 in my car while playing with the market. The guy called me to tell me he was going to be late. I got upset and forgot about a live open transaction with no upper/profit stop. That same minute the American $ nosedived in my favor and I end up making a few hundred bucks in a few minutes. I started thanking the guy i was yelling @ a few minutes ago :) Still, I am not an active trader - I do it to kill boredom, have fun and keep myself educated about this.

If you do forex: It helps to get out of the market just before 8:00AM when the American corporations release their press-releases, and come back when things settle.
