Agreed.

Couple of months ago I was in the bus going home and the bus was full and stinky. Yuck anyways I was on the phone and this follow African boy comes and sits next to me and wallahi the smell coming from him yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Me and my big mouth switch to Somali and im like Allah the boy next to me smells.

I had a nice twenty minutes talk on the phone with my half Somali half English. As soon as I bought the phone down the boy is like ‘are you ogadeen cos you look ogadeen’ in Af Somali!

Let’s just say I learnt my lesson. He looked West African and I thought no worries but he turns out to be an Ethiopian Oromo. Those Oromo's are cheeky why is that every second one can speak Somali and hardly the other way round

If he was Oromo, then you shouldn't be surprised. First, they look like Somali, so I'd assume a Somali is on the bus with me, secondly, most Oromos understand Af-Somali.

lol@hal

I flew from Bosaso to Berbera last ramadan/summer. On the plane, we had an Indian guy who spoke Somali fluently and his somali (chick) coworker. They worked in Bosaso. He was going to India and she was going to Hargeisa.

@ the Berbera airport, she asked him if he had cigarettes in English. He said no. Still in English, she started whining and complaining about some nasty headache she gets if she doesn't smoke for a long time. From not far distance, I told her (in english) to get it from a Russian pilot who was smoking a few minutes ago. The girl was very light skin and she turned red before my eyes, saying walahi I don't smoke it was all joke, bla bla bla. I showed her a bottle of water I had with me and told her I am not fasting either and to chill out. She went straight to Russian guy who was in the plane (we were outside on the tarmac) :)
