I dont see throu qabiil linces like you do xoolo yahow and defend every suuko that inhale from same qabiil. The topic was about our Rasuul allah csw.So think with the few brain cels you've left and show some respect.
this topic was about a show on bbc2 presented by ragge Omar about the prophet. 1londoner told us the time and channel which is sufficient enough. Furthermore, this isn't the first topic regarding this. In addition, nothing meaningful was being discussed, if this was a topic where people gave their feedback after watching the show than the respect you speak of shall be shown. In the menwhile, continue asking us to respect this topic where his name is mentioned for a certain reason, hint hint.

The doc is very shallow.

He doesnt mention the fact that Mecca was called Bakkah even the Quraan calls it this way.

As for the non islamic narratives Bakkah is mention in the Psalms.

Walaahi I have never heard that the prophet was rejected by his uncles when he proposed to marry one of their daughters.
this is the beginning of lies Rageh.

I mean trying to act Uncle Tom.

I think it was a decent attempt (although not all factual), but nevertheless it was put very well together. I look forward to the next episodes.

It changes your IP to a UK IP and then watch the documentary straight from BBC Iplayer website when it's uploaded on there.

i didn't like this show 1 bit walaahi, from the vague way he was describing the Prophet "saw" revelations, without once mentioning peace be upon him after saying his name, to interviewing those un-hijabed muslim women such as the princess of Jordan badyan something, and also using all those western refernences and sources, the whole thing seemed like it was coming from a western point of view. the whole thing was messed up.

I mean some of it was factually incorrect, but I cannot really pin point it as I need to learn the seerah of the nabi SAW a lot better inshallah. Laakin as expected from a BBC programme he had to appear balanced or else people would complain that it was some sort of Islamic induced propaganda funded by licence payers.

I dont even know where to start with this.. :|
Ermm interesting yet a little contradicting at times *with some false statements*... But than again what do you expect from Islam being brought to you by the BBC.

Anyway it was pretty much what I expected... Dry iyo from a western prespective..

How do you know its a lie? Its sounds like a reasonable story, the prophet was 21yr old male at that time (PBUH) ready to find a partner and in order to find a bride he needed money. So he asks his uncle for his daughters hand in marriage.... What sounds farfetched about that? :|

How about you do some research of your own to verify if its fact before you accuse a reputable highly educated journalist (who is muslim himself) of lying on national TV.

He said peace be upon him at the very start of mentioning the prophets name. When your talking about the prophet if you say PBUH 1time when going into a discussion about him, that’s adequate.

And if you actually COUNT the number of muslim & non-muslim commentaries they actually balance out equally. The BBC are a very smart organisation they want a documentary thats balanced and can be digested by all types of people. I think the documentary was good
