Naaah, Wallahi no joke, I've actually seen a Somali chick at a mall wearing a hijab with a miniskirt . I didn't know which one she should take off.

But seriously OO, that doesn't look good coming from a Muslim person.

Muslims are still struggling with constant bashing from Non Muslims in the west so it's not wise to go with the mob and bash Muslims too.

You might not see it as an important part of Muslim female dress but the ones who wear it have their own reasons.

I JUST DO NOT like the niqaab...I think its unnecessary to wear it especially in a country like this. How is she going to be able to find a job? This is simply my OWN opinion...not following the opinions of the Gaalo for I do NOT care what they think or believe.
Also, I'm not bashing the Muslims, I have no reason to...I'm a Muslim myself...was brought in a Muslim environment...I have respect for my diin. But I do not have respect for those that follow the Wahabism sect or whatever it is! :ugeek:
You mean like she is not capable of having such worries (how she's going to find a job) and you're doing it for her?

Again, Live and Let Live.

Some shiekhs say it's obligtory some say it's sunnah.Cala kuli xaal skip that part, a woman can only make herselv beautiful to her husband only when they're home.Outside she should be invisible so her beauty doesnt attract others, same thing when you're single.Isha kugu dhacaysa ba la diidan yahy.

Ask ur QS to a caalim.
How does somebody make herself 'invisible'? Especially the women with goals and dreams, how does a person competing for a BSc, or a MS or even mashaAllah a phD make themselves 'invisible'? Or how about the sisters that work for their families? Should they 'make themselves invisible' and miss out on promotions and benefits?

Islam is about moderation and balance. To say women should not be heard or seen is extreme.
Great so covering oneself is now seen as something to frown on. Dear I know you grew up on fox news and where breastfeed on feminist values, but can you please refrain from being fixated on why niqaabs. Nothing wrong with trying to make yourself invisible from the opposite sex, by you displaying your beauty and being social you may fall. This sister is combating this by wearing a garment that shouts out stay away, let me just live my life. It’s a tactic to ward off many sins me and you would fall into, so its always look at the good side of why someone does something. We should all support our sisters wearing covering garments as it is there choice to wear this, and is a measure to keep away from sins such as interacting with the opposite sex and more minor ones as gossiping and back biting through having pointless friends and meaningless conversations.

I don't see anything brave about this. She did what Allah told us to do, stop putting her on a pedestal I know almost 40 chicks who wear the big hijab and who also have degrees.
