yes i paid. there are a lot of private schools there that teach classical arabic.. Famous ones are Fajr center,Qurtaba... They have their own websites.. I hear now there are much more arabic centers now than when i was there and their supposed to be cheaper.. but the living cost is much higher now than when i was there.. Also you can get a private teacher it will cost you more or you can just attend a class which is okay because most classes have ten people max.grandpakhalif wrote:When you travelled to egypt I presume how did you arrange for classes? It all depends what your aim is.. If you want enough to understand lectures than you can gain that in Canada but if you really want to be fluent in arabic than you have to live among arabs for a bit at least.. Depending on how hard you work you can start speaking a little and understand in 6months.. One year you will be ok and so forth..
