Somaliland: Siilaanyo appoints Mr. Duur to be the new Interior minister

Hargeisa (JSLTimes)-Somaliland president Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud Siilaanyo issues this afternoon a presidential decree in which he appointed Mr. Mohamed Nuur Caraale Duur, who is a member of Somaliland parliament to be the new Somaliland interior minister. The president said this in a press release issued this afternoon by the president’s spokesperson Mr. Abdilahi Mohamed Dahir known as Cukuse.

The newly appointed Interior minister is to resign from his membership to Somaliland parliament as the law says.

Mr. Duur was elected from Saahil province and was a member of UDUB party but once he was elected, he switched to kulmiye which was an opposition party after he became discontent with former Riyale’s policies.

From that day he became aligned to the policies of the current ruling party by the name of Kulmiye.

Mr. Mohamed Abdi Gaboose resigned from the post citing that he intends to open a new political party.

President Ahmed Siilaanyo made an excellent choice in nominating him as the Minister of interior of the Nation,, this Guy is a doctor he holds a PHD in law in the 90s he was the supreme court judge of the saaxil Province, And in the late 90s he joined the parliament of Somaliland he was selected by the udub party to be an mp and in 2005 he officially was elected from the saaxil province by the people of saaxil as an Mp for udub how ever this guy strongly believed that he really represent the country national interest and didn't contribute in silly Clan or local politics he was the one who pointed out all the previous mistakes and shortcomings of former president daahir rayaales administration he is resigned this morning from his Mp Position, And is our next Interior Minister we welcome you Mr Maxammad Nuur Caraale duur, Make us proud.

He is a very educated man and clean politician. We need more non corrupt and educated ministers this is a huge addition
