The reason why you have few people who dislike Arsenal is because 95% of Somali are Arsenal fans. It is not because they are a threat to other top teams they are average.

I reached a point where I don't ask anyone who they support if am watching a match in a large gathering. I just assume they are Arsenal fan which is right nearly always. It is like all camel-herders started watching football all at the same year, when Arsenal won their first trophy in 98 lol.

Agree. In fact, not only Somalis, but most black people are Arsenal fans. Why?

Chelsea started getting famous when they brought Drogba and all the African players from the french league aroung 2005 and ever since then its been a favorite among Ivorians and Nigerians to be specific.

It is true most Africans are Arsenal loyalists. But while the surge for Africans to Arsenal and most recently to Chelsea is documented and can be better understood, I can't seem to understand why every somali camel-herder is an Arsenal fan. It would make sense if Arsenal was a top level team that keeps winning trophies year after year or if they had a Somali player but that is not the case.

The only plausible explanation is maybe a huge number of Somalis have been airlifted from the refugee camps in Kenya in the year 1997-1998 and got exposed to television that year so they had the chance to witness Arsenal win their first trophy. And most Somalis being glory seekers the reason why they stuck to their Arsenal team is maybe because of the fact that all those years Arsenal were finishing 2nd or 3rd place at worst and only getting to surrender the title two or three week before the climax. Of course it doesn't mean every Arsenal faithful fan is like that, there are always exceptions.

Now a lot of Somalis are Barca fans.
