Is it time the forum dealt with religious extremism?

Are they killing people? Threatening death and murder? Condemning people to hell? I mean we have to get something clear cuz. This is a discussion forum and there are discussions many of us will find to be in disagreement with but that doesn't mean they should be censored. What should be considered is those that can be considered obscene and I trust you would it obscene if someone were to praise the murder of innocent children.

As said earlier, half the forumers would fall under that categories. As well as the category of "insulting the dead".

If you guys are going to crack down on religious bashing, then you must do it effeciently and fairly. You can't let your own biases preference what is acceptable and what is not. The Islamic awakening forum has a policy, that somewhat blasphemous remarks are allowed so long as they are said in an intellectual debate. However, straight insults are banned. I think that's a good strategy and maybe you guys can take it on board

if someone is saying they're Muslim, I'm in no position to declare they are not Muslim whether they support seperation of church and state.

Its different if someone is saying alcohol is halal and mocking the Qur'an while stll saying they're Muslim...

Supporting the seperation of state and religion and saying alcohol are two similar thins in Islam. Both are kufr are render a person a gaal. The person who is saying deen should seperate from state is basically denying the entire parts of quran which deal with rulership and judical punishments, etc.

I agree, and there's nothing wrong with pointing that out...in fact, spreading Islamic knowledge is encouraged and is something to be commended, not censored. Lakiin you can't say someone is a murtad if they prefer secularism, that only makes them a faasiq.

Uttering a statement of Kufr does not always make one a kafir, and that's a distinction that needs to be made. You can call a spade a spade and say something is Kufr according to the scholars, but you can't make Takfiir on someone nonchalantly, cuz it's an entire profess.
