I have visited Istanbul and you will love it. It is clean and organised with trams and buses.
The blue mosque after friday prayers is the perfect place to be; you will witness tolerance; You may see an old woman wearing hijab and going hand in hand with her smoking daughter wearing a pair of jeans. Turkey blends modernity and traditions.

Well it would have been shocking if they decided to teach Arabic so Turkish it is. That said we soak up any new culture like a sponge so we are sure to get completely assimilated in the future.
Re: Turkey opening new schools in Somalia
It is good to see Turkey offering a helping hand to Somalia. As a brotherly Muslim state, they should also stop destabilizing or stop being used as a destabilization staging ground against Syria and Iran. Turkish recent involvement in Libya was also not helpful. I hope they deal with their fellow Muslims evenhandedly.
Any how, Somalis need to acomodate each other and all problems would be resolved.Narrated 'Abdullah bin Umar: Allah's Apostle (pbuh) said, "A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor. Whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs; whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection, and whoever screened a Muslim, Allah will screen him on the Day of Resurrection . Something just don`t smell right with this Turkey tie up.
Why now...after all these years?
Iran seems to be taking an interest in Somalia too.
I`m thinking....whats the deal here? There aint no free lunches in this world.
I suppose beggars can`t be choosers ....but anyhow I`d be mighty suspicious as to the true intentions of these johnny come lately`s.
