Do you have the actual links for those photos? I am hesitant to believe most of those pictures are from Kurdhistan. Almost every sign in one of the pictures is written in English and English alone.

That area is called "American Village" and its in Arbil, the capital of Kurdistan, its targeted towards Kurdish westerners returning home. The street signs also have themed names like "Texas Street." I assure you, all of those pictures are from Arbil and Sulimaniyah. More about American Village:
