As someone who realy loves the people of liberia,siera leon and d'jabouti I say please dont do it,somalia is the graveyard of transgressors.

These are cannon fodder for empire's ambitions in Somalia. They are called "peacekeeping forces" but in reality they are mercenary forces who are only going to Somalia at the behest of foreign powers.

The question that no one asks the backers of these mercenaries is why can't they provide sufficient resources to rebuild Somali army? Southern Sudan has 140,000 militia, and the west pays for the salary and other needs of these forces with all of the high tech military hardware that come with it. However, in Somalia Shariif government does not receive the funding of 20,000 militia, and you add the arms embargo that is placed on the TFG that limits it from importing meaningful weapons. The truth is front of our us: Southern Somalia is destined to remain in perpetual conflict, according to some with foreign forces doing all the battles against "extremist" forces.

I can't imagine a country of 9 million people cannot question that policy. Ok fine if you want us and others fight against Al-Shabaab, but what is the help for Somalis to have a capable and professional security forces?
