You see guy it will two parliaments. The temporary parliament will also be used if the parliamentarians need to have separate discussions. But the main one is being built right next to it!!!! His more clear picture of it

You know whats funny? even the secondary parliament that the puntland parliamentarians will use is the same size and looks of galmudug official parliament. Do this count the windows on puntland parliament on the left hand side untill the door its 3. Then count the windows on the other side its 2 and then add the entrance 7. Then count the windows and entrance in galmudug parliament and u will see its exactly the same!!!

The thing about projects like this is, the rendering always looks better than the finale project. I am glad that Puntland is building a better parliamentarian building.

Please stop comparing Puntland to Galmudug it makes us look really bad. There is a million light years between the two. How could you compare a so-call state run by a warlord that depends on money from piracy to run their pathetic excuse of state. Their capital city is galkacyo, a city majority control by Majeerteens and that could easily be captured within 10 minutes in case of a full blow war.

Ok thats parliament that can hold a capacity of 500 people. It will have room for the cabinet ministers, elders, press, guests, employees, security, and the secondary parliament which is the one they will using temporarily till the official one is built will be an emergency secondary parliament like say we hold the somali conference and parliament is seating they will go there while the conference happens in the official parliament.

Now I wanna focus on the parliament seating hall what do you think the design will be inside? I am hoping it follows the same formula as the old parliament with fixed seating.

This is the former parliament seating hall and one thing I like about is the fixed seating looks professional. Now I dont want the fixed seating to be old style like that but modern style what u think?


I hope the parliament hall turns out like this and Al-Fadli should get the job to make the furniture just perfect and they said they spoke to farole about it and farole is from australia so he should know how a modern parliament looks

A rendering that looked great was the tawakal building in Bosaso, the actual building although looks very similiar was no quite as impressive. I couldn't find a picture of the finale building. Couple of other projects was a bit disaoppointing as well. Even the final product of Bosaso airport looked different then the orginal plan. It might be that the rendering had paved runway and road. They have plans to pave the airport but that project took a back seat to the oil plans


I am really impressed to see so many projects taking place in Bosaso. The construction companies are getting really sophisticated and experienced. An uncle of mine is in the bussiness and it is great way to make money since so many Puntlanders are going back home to building commercial buildings but more importantly residential housing which is where the real money lies.

The new parliamentarian building looks promising but what I don't get is, it doesn't really look like they have much of space to build it. If you take a close look at the picture you posted you will realize that they are other building very close and it looks a bit cramped. I could be wrong but I am really excited.

Wouldn't it be cool to have the parliamentarian building you posted in Puntland? Puntland is headed in a good direction.

Amila hold your horses The tawakal one hasnt been done yet the glass hasnt been added, but it will look quite similiar once done. The parliament is sitting on big land just because houses are next door doesnt mean the land its on is small just take look the size of it closely

Thats only half of it on on the left hand side take note of the where the pile of rocks begin


The other side notice where the pile of rock starts again which is the middle and still continues on

Its bad photography on the journalist part all he had to do was step back 100 meters and take a shot thats one thing. But yeah I think they are sitting on big block of land and notice the draft pic is 3 stories high and the render is 2 but really chunky so they might higher then the chunky style either way it will look good. This is another early render i've seen which looks actually closer to the design in the guys hand


It seems they render for 2 stories but must of changed it to add another storey!!!

It still looks cramped to me. It doesn't look good in the middle of all the residential housing. Garowe is a great city and there are plenty of land to build on, I personally believe it was a bad choice to build it there. However, I could be making a hasty assumptions, I will make my mine up when it materializes. For example, the building below is sitting on a great piece of land which makes the building look really big and awesome.




Anways, I still believe that this new parliamentarian building will either be expanded upon in the future or a whole new one will be build if and when the oil money starts to pour in.


I see something like this in Garowe in the near future.



Anyways, I don't want to take away from the great success of Garowe and Puntland in general. I am just question their choice of the land which they decided on build on. Either way great job I am very proud.
