OK. i am not familiar with UK media but i can tell "dailymail" is not a friendly paper to minorities. i can also tell that it has embellished the story a whole lot.

The DM is certainly twisting things. Let me atleast try and explain what´s been said. Firstly, this incident happened almost 2 years ago. Secondly, this was not a hate crime, nor was it a racially motivated crime. The prosecution, the police and the judge all agreed on this matter. Everyone is trying to act as if they themselves are judges giving out sentences left to right, the judge had ALL the evidence he needed to make a decision and he did based on the statements taken from the accused as well as the cadaan girl. The judge NEVER took the alleged "they were not used to being drunk because of their religion" into consideration. This cadaan girl said the girls were shouting racist abuse at her, there is NO evidence for this and NEVER has been.

For the Daily Mail to say it was an unprovoked attack..that is just ridiculous! What many of you do not know, and had not been written in the Daily Fail..oops i mean Mail, is that the first punch was thrown not by the Somali girl but by the cadaan girl herself. She was the one who started the whole fight, and as stated in the telegraph one of the girls did try to diffuse the whole situation. Is it not odd that someone tries to stop the fight but later joins it? There must have been something which triggered it...in this case it was the cadaan girls actions i.e. her being the one who instigated this whole fight.

As for the drinking, they don´t drink. It´s a shame that´s what the Daily Mail has had to say inorder for them to tarnish the Somali and Muslim community. At the end of the day Allah knows best, just don´t be so quick to judge when you do not know the full story. May Allah guide us all on the straight path.
