Awe no that's not what I'm implying, I was replying to the statement that Darood Ismaciil had only two kingdoms, kenadiid and cali yusef, and I'm saying lets not limit Daarood rule to two late 19th century and 20th century leaders.

Awe, what Sadeboi is saying is certainly Kenadiid and Cali Yusuf were important figures but they come into history in the 20th century. There is recorded history that provides more insight into the past and opens up a wider perspective.

From the Futah-

”A tribe called Girri then came to the Imam. A dispute had arisen between them and their companions in another tribe called the Marraihan whose emir was called Hirabu, so the Imam Ahmed sent a message to Hirabu, Emir of the Somalis, to make peace between them.”

Pankhurst using old Arab sources writes:

Secondly, Pankhurst writes:

Roughly translated as:

The Somalis, weary of the destruction inflicted on them went to the Imaam (Imaam Axmed), led by their (chosen) leader Hirabu. The Somalis with their leader concluded a complete peace with the Imaam.

After this, the Imaam made preparations for Jihad against Abyssinia, assembling his troops and the Somalis with their leader, Hirabu.

In summary, Somalis had 2 main leaders, Imaam Axmed Gurey and Imaam Nuur ibn Mujaahid. One main chieftain Hiraabu and several mini chieftains such as Garaad Daawuud of the Habar Magaadle and Garaad Mataan of the Gerri Koombe.

Voltage, We didn't have any real contact with Ahmad Gurey because of geographical reasons. Both Marehan and Geri at this time migrated far inland, we were probably still coastal dwellers.

Who is Hirabu? I've never heard of him I'm pretty sure you haven't either.

It is a Marehan sub-clan today, reer Hiraabe.

Mataan Ciis had three sons....Yusuf, Ibrahim, and Ahmed (Hiraabe--one who brings daylight).

I am part of reer Yusuf Matan...my abtirsi goes into ------> Diini Farah Guled Shermarka Khalaf Hussein Yusuf Mataan Ciis Ahmed Mohamed Da'ud Abadir

Ibrahim is reer Garaad of Marehan.....Garad Ibrahim Matan Ciise Ahmed Mohamed Da'uud Abadir
Hiraabe is reer of Marehan....Ahmed (Hiraabe) Matan Ciis Ahmed Mohamed Da'uud Abadir

Awe also Amir-Nuur is part of the Yusef Mataan-Ciis
Amiir-Nuur Yusef Mataan (his descendants are called Ina-Nuur (ximan's clan))

And Ahmed Gurey we say is Ahmed-Ibraahim-Mataan Ciis.

If you watch this oromo video, they even include the mataan in there for Axmed-Gurey, watch from :35 and 1:14 you will see he mentions the name mataan.

That's some good stuff.

ps. Do one of you guys mind finishing this abtirsi up to Sade? Matan Ciise Ahmed Mohamed Da'uud Abadir . . .

I'm trying to compare it to my abtirsi to Daarood and what the equivalent of Matan Cise was for Majerteen. We were most likely a young clan at the time.

Mataan Ciis is like Cumar-Muxamoud... and Maxamed-Daud is equal to Saleebaan...

******* ******* ******* ******* ******* Abdille Maxamed Siyaad Diini Farax Guleed Sharmarke Khalaf Hussien Yusef Mataan Ciis Axmed Maxamed Daud Abadir Musse Warwaajecle Radimiir Amaanreer Isxaaq Galshiredle Hodenbari Baalyiri Awsame Marexaan Sade Darood

I count 33 to Daarood

The weird thing about us is that 97% of Sade are descendants of Galshiredle ...kuwa kore ma tarmin ama madhi bey noqdeen...its like 97% of Kablalax being descendants of Cumar-Aawe...thats why we just the Sade name all the time, no one else shares it with us but Facaye and Marexaan's curad uurmidig who are both very small.
