Help poor somalis living in somalia
I just watched an extremely sad video that got me motivated o get involved with poor somalis back home. Anyone know legitimate things could do to get involved other then send money (which I don't have).

Those commercials were made by the I-AM-A-STAR-CAMPAIGN. You don't make a commercial. You can if you want though.
The people in the video were saying what they did for Somalia: written poems, held bake sales, had a car wash, etc.

People who advertise their charity are jaahils and cowards. The whole concept of charity marketing is a jaahil concept. There are some people in this world with good hearts, and they give out of passion rather than obligation, and you certainly won't see them on TV.
Anyhow, I'd love to give but I'm broke as hell. I do pray though, on a daily basis, that Somalia finds relief in its own resources. That's really the best we can do without tools of our own, to pray that Somalia's own underground resources help those troubled people above it. Amiin dhaha.

Hopefully I wont do it to show off. I went on the website and saw a printable star and you stick it to a donation box. I think that would be a good idea. Thats all I can think of so far. Also Amoud foundation does a lot of good work but their located in texas. I wonder if theres a way that I can work with them.Monk-of-Mogadishu wrote:People who advertise their charity are jaahils and cowards. The whole concept of charity marketing is a jaahil concept.
