Christian Missionary Activities in all of Somali Territories

Post by udun »

Somalis, don't take this issue lightly. Missionary activities within Somalia, Ogaden, DJibouti, NFD, and in all of the entire Refugee camps of the surrounding countries, are in full speed. In Somalia, they come as NGO, many of them like Mercy, Refugee council, helping the poor, Red Cross, providing medical help to the poor, etc. In Ohio where I live, I met this white woman who told me there are Somalis in her church, and they came USA as Christians.

This is a dangerous trend and we need to be aware of it, prevent the mass proselytization, which is occurring in our midst, while we are caught up reer hebel this, reer hebel that. The last thing we need is Somalis' character of being Muslims changed. There will be no worse defeat that we, Somalis, could suffer than that of Christianization of Somalis.

This should be a wake-up call. We should not be oblivion to the fact that the civil war is raging for a reason. Wake up, do the homework, and we need to help our needy population in order to prevent the Christian missionaris from taking advantage of our needy population.

Daiman, times have changed, so people have. Unless we, Somalis, understand this menace in our midst, we would regret it for future generations. Poverty and despair can take people to drastic actions that you can never imagine.

Somalis live in Christian majority Western countries and do fine resisting proselytization here. I don't understand your concern over a mere handful of missionaries in Somalia.

Yes, agree with Union.

My worry is the disintegration of Somalia as we speak. The hatred amongest us. The hypicrcacy.

we are also nation on the move. You see three generations living in a refugee camp. That disheartness me, my brother.

sometimes ago when alshabab stopped families to move to the refugee camps in Kenya, they were right. They gave them ration for a month hoping the rain will come soon.

I have very little time for somalinet, but these are the thoughts that go in my head as I feel everyone is looking me down for my nationality.People read all sort of things about somalia, and hell that effects us too.

Do not you worry few white people? worry about the oromo and xabashi who are moving into puntland and somaliland while the bodies of the somali youth floating in the sea. walahi, this sad. very sad
