Union,

Forget about Islam for this moment. Keep in mind, Science is all theory. Is this true or not? For hundreds of years, it was general knowledge that nothing is faster than the speed of light (the most fundamental law of physics). It was debunked just like that, out of no where. Tomorrow, it can be proven that evolution is indeed wrong and a new theory might pop up. Can it not happen? Yes or no?

Figther, my dear friend, what the hell are you talking about? Science is all theory? What? There are facts in science, and a theory is just something that explains a lot of related facts. Also, my dear friend, Einstein's theory regarding the speed of light has not been debunked. If you're referring to those tests done by the Italian research team involving neutrinos, well their findings have not yet been replicated widely enough as to prove their assertions. But even if there findings do prove correct and it is indeed discovered that objects can indeed travel faster than the speed of light, well that would be a triumph for science and far from an undermining let down like you seem to suggest. Also, the possibility of evolution being disproven in its entirety in favor of "errrr, actually humans were made out of clay....like you know, that stuff potters use" is pretty slim.

Listen, I did not try to undermine science. I love science more than you do Union so don't make it seem like I am some feller without an open mind . And that international research team in Italy have repeated "the experiment 20 times, they found almost exactly the same result". (Source: Telegraph, "Speed of light broken again as scientists test neutrino result", 19 Nov 2011).

I just suggested that science can sometimes be wrong. That's true and you know that's true.

Union, I was once like you a few years ago until I had a near-death experience. This little phase you are going through will end sooner or later. I promise.

The first view) is that it refers to its fixed course of location, which is beneath the Throne, beyond the earth in that direction. Wherever it goes, it is beneath the Throne, it and all of creation, because the Throne is the roof of creation and it is not a sphere as many astronomers claim. Rather it is a dome supported by legs or pillars, carried by the angels, and it is above the universe, above the heads of people. When the sun is at its zenith at noon, it is in its closest position to Throne, and when it runs in its fourth orbit at the opposite point to its zenith, at midnight, it is in its furthest position from the Throne. At that point it prostrates and asks for permission to rise, as mentioned in the Hadiths.

But grandpa its past midnight for you but midday for twist who is in austrailia, explain that? Is the sun closest to your zenith in canada, arabia, or austrailia? Cuz it can't be closest to all zenith poiunts depending where you are and be furthest for everyones midnight.

how can astronomers claim to know what the Throne looks like?
I don't know crazy astronomers claimed that it is sphere without evidence :?
granted, is there a verse that says the throne is dome-shaped?[/quote]
Who claimed that the throne is domed-shaped?

Based - Ibn kathir might have lived centuries ago but I'm pretty sure that if you was to live another 100 years you wouldn't reach half of the knowledge he had.

You're not any less jahil then him, mr "i believe we were created from clay....literally"
we are made out of clay mixed with mud. look at this everything we eat grows out of the mud or is sustained by something that grows out of the mud like grass then eaten by a cow and human then eating the cow

it makes perfect sense that our bodies are made out of mud. the soul is a different matter.

From your article
the observed anomaly in the neutrinos time of flight from CERN to Gran Sasso still needs further scrutiny and independent measurement before it can be refuted or confirmed."
it hasn't been officially confirmed yet by any outside research groups, and a three second Google search lead me to dozens of articles which refute the findings of the Italian team. They have a long way to go in proving their results to the rest of the scientific community, who aren't as easily impressed as lay people. But I do hope it's true thought, faster than light travel is an exciting possibility, but sometimes these stories are just attempts at getting 15 minutes of fame....like that team who claimed to have discovered fusion energy.

I never suggested science couldn't be wrong. Indeed science is wrong a lot of times, but when it comes to evolution it's probably on the right track. I mean, the evidence is astounding.

I can't really think of any near death experience that could make you go from believing in scientifically sound theories to literal creationist stories, unless you suffered a traumatic brain injury that destroyed a good deal of your braincells.

dude read the part after the one I highlighted. it says the throne is not sphere shaped but rather dome shaped with pillar-legs carried by angels.
