Estarix wrote:C'mon, this is not the way to quit porn... Ah i mean qabiilism. By declaring behind a screen is futile, typing 'qabyaalidnimo' is not important but your approach and mentality towards this disease. If your reading a qabyaalad thread, and your forcefully restrain your emotions and fingers from actively engage in it, then thats not effective as your allowing it to affect you emotionally. Soon this shit will become a cycle and you will release a torrent of hate that built up (youll probably desperately wait for that month to end lol).
The idea is your perspective towards it, if you consider it useless, unimportant and you can see through what it is. Then you wont allow it to affect you.
this exactly what my thoughts were, i have seen Qabiil-ism in different forms, however there are 3 types of Qabiil-ism i have noticed in members through observation. greenday, blackvelvet, etc really shocked me when they came out, not because they were females but the fact that they skipped several steps and jumped in head on, It is like seeing Alpha explode with Qabiil-ism, it would really shock me.

I thought to myself this must be the result of accumulated Qabiil-ism that could no longer be repressed and hidden from the public. This theory is weak, the reason being Qabiil-ism does not accumulate it is either rejected or accepted depending on who you hear it from and at what age. from 18 onwards a person has a set Qabiil-ism level, it is hard for them to change. This brings me on to the second type, Advo, Sahan etc this type is more relaxed, this level of Qabiil-ism is considered hip and for fun to them and they own it, they will not shock you with Qabiil-ism in fact their comments can be amusing, they are generally normal and although they mix with extreme and soft elements their Qabiil-ism level stays unaffected. the third type lack moral compass, it is as if they are the embodiment of Qabiil-ism, a decent and humane comment outside of their world of Qabiil-ism is unnatural and it makes them uncomfortable and confused, aswell as shocking everybody else, this type of Qabiil-ism is present in Monk, Siciid/Harag and it is very hard to explain this type.

Again it depends on how important it is someone, the militant, reactionary, emotional and isolationist characteristics is a type carried by those that are entrenched and dominated by qabiil, yacni they only care about the welfare of their people (insert clan). Their entire perspective on everything Somali is shaped by qabiil, you cant reason with these people.
At least they call a spade a spade in politics, unlike their leaders.

type 3 are probably the most insane of them all, they grow frustrated with their kin if they aren't as extreme as themselves but once thrown a bone to satisfy them and they are back down on their fours, they can easily resort to extreme illogical behaviors and ideologies. their understanding of Qabiil is distorted and superficial, reality kicks in rarely but when it does it has little impact because they have surrounded themselves with so many delusional people who literately suffocate the little logic that is left. They have no independent thinking and most of them can be controlled, keeping in mind most Somali leaders are not Qabilist(type 3) but know how to control this group, they like to think of themselves as proud survivalist like our ancestors but the truth is they have very little traits of the cultured old Somali Qabiil-ism which had customs and boundaries in place to protect us from ourselves. They cause more destruction to themselves and their own imagined superior Qabiil than they do to others, in fact the only positive thing they will do is compete sometimes in unethical way with others.

Hyperactive this is my opinion, i don't mean to offend Advo.
sahan iyo advo are nothing like each other but they are part of the same group, this is just observation, Qabiil-ism type is not a complete personality, it is a small part that is for the most part doormant in us in the diaspora.
