Somalia: Schools Will Be Opened in Mogadishu, President Says
The president of Somalia’s Transitional Federal government (TFG) Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed has announced on Monday that his government is planning to open at least 100 schools with veracity levels in Mogadishu to enhance the educational system.
After touring Mogadishu’s Hamar-weyne district where TFG evicted IDPs from government buildings, president Sharif said, “I would like to announce that my government is aiming to establish 100 schools which will educate young as well as adult people of Somalia"
This statement from the Somali president Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed followed as TFG forces are stepping up a campaign to force IDPs to evacuate government buildings.
