And a election with one central government is still the way forward as breaking up in small pieces would look ridiculous when you look at the map of Africa and see all these huges countries that are able to self government Somalia is capable of the same.

Daadi,

Those are both empty terms that rarely exist.

Would you prefer Somaliland to join a greater Somali Confederation?

I think its premature discussing something like this kenya somalies are out, djoubouties are out, ogadenies are out, and somaliLands out.
The White 5 pointed Star in the blue flag is not even ONE point at the moment, Somalia needs to fix its own internal affairs before its can think of anything "Greater" than just itself. We all share the same Nationality which is SOMALI but Somalia isnt the birth place of SOMALIES its a 60 year old country where as somalinimo predates that.
Its should stick to its own italians borders and fix that.

I'm simply referring to the recognized maps as they are. As it stands, Somaliland is yet to be recognized, if my understanding is correct. Personally, it makes no difference in my life. But you are advocating for a united "Somalia". Isn't it a bit hypocritical to advocate unity for some, but succession for yourself?

Aplha: it does, Somalia failed because certain groups were over powering others. clanism/tribalism/favoritism/nepotism is what destroyed Somalia.

Swiss has got con federation because there are many different Swisses , do we have many different Somalis?

The only Justice and equality in this world can only come through Islam but we can build something which at least resembles it.

Personally i believe Somalia doesnt need federalism, it either neither needs strong Central devolved government or break it up in to several mini Republics and the later option might be a better choice for the time being considering that certian groups still wana get more than their right share of the power.

Thats were we differ we Dont consider what we doing as succession
You should really look at the word succession in the dictionary (the coming of one person or thing after another in order)
Somalia isnt our Mother land . So how is it hypocritcal? We want to return to our Original Borders before we joined Somalia WILLFULLY.
When i say Somalia it doesnt include Somaliland

British PM: Our Plan is Not to Recognize Somaliland
Ra’iisul wasaaraa dalka Britain David Cameron ayaa sheegay in dowladda Ingiriisku aysan marnaba ictiraafi doonin maamulka raba in uu Soomaaliya inteeda kale ka go’o ee Somaliland.

Cameron oo waraysi gaar ah siiyey laanta afka Soomaaliga ee Idaacadda BBC ayaa xusay in dowladiisa aysan marnaba qorshaha ugu jirin aqoonsi ay xiligan siiso maamulka madaxweyne Siilaanyo.

Ra’iisul wasaaraha dalka Ingiriisku oo ka jawaabayey su’aal ay BBC-du weydiisey oo ahayd diyaar ma u tahay inaad Somaliland u ogolaato madax-banaani? wuxuu yiri: “ Shirkani kuma saabsana aqoonsasho Somaliland, mana ahan qorshaha Britain”

Wuxuuna isaga oo hadalkiisa sii wata yiri: “ Qorshaha Britain waxa weeyey in uu xiriir fiicani kala dhexeeyo dhamaan dhinacyada Soomaalida, saldhiggaas ayaanuna ka duuleynaa”

Hadalka kasoo yeeray David Cameron ayaa meesha ka saaraya warar mudooyinkii u danbeeyey laysla dhex marayey oo sheegaya in shirka London uu yahay mid loogu gogol xaarayo sidii Somaliland aqoonsi loo siin lahaa.

Khamiista beri ah ee ay taariikhdu ku beegan tahay 23/2/2011 ayaana la filayaa in uu qabsoomo shirka xal u helidda dhibaatooyinka Soomaaliya looga hadli doono oo ay dowlada Ingiriisku martigelisey ayna kaso qayb gelayaan dhinacyada Soomaalida laguna casumey in ka badan 50-dal iyo hay’ado caalami ah.

What original borders? Those British borders weren't eternal either, and they didnt exist before the British came. Isn't that the same point your making? Why are colonial borders indivisible?

Federalism is dangerous for Somalia and yet I think its the only thing somalis would somehow agree on.
Federalism means clan states where do the borders start and end. It will only cause problems in the future.
