Whether or not we like it probably won't have an impact on it being adopted. I think the majority of people are already moving in this direction. I'm pretty certain a few people on this site have credit card info on their phone and have at one time engaged in mobile banking. Governments will save money by issuing digital IDs. Will they? If sci-fi teaches us anything, it's that it's all simply a matter of time.

That is interesting.Mobile banking is more advanced in Africa than it is here,in ma experience.With poverty and crimes,u would think they will be discouraged.

U know who are thinking of doing that? The social assistance offices.I am not sure how they plan to implement is but they are tryng to save money on postage/paper by giving each recipient a reloadable digital ID card.

I did not know that. That's pretty interesting. It will also help the government keep a tighter record of their spendings
